My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy includes personalized plans, heart-centered care, and evidence-based practices. I emphasize using data and proven strategies to track progress and refine therapy methods for optimal outcomes, as well as tailoring therapy techniques to fit each client's unique needs, learning styles, and goals. I also believe that fostering trust and emotional support is essential to create a safe and motivating environment for progress!

What a Therapy Session Looks Like With Me

My sessions are interactive, positive, and focused on building confidence, with hopes that everyone leaves feeling accomplished and motivated. A typical 30-min with me would most likely start with a catch-up sesh where the client feels safe and supported, leading onto client’s specific goals, using engaging activities and exercises designed to build skills step-by-step. I like to regularly track progress using simple, data-driven methods to see what’s working and adjust as needed.

Fun Facts About Yena

Originally from Orange County, CA, I developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and cuisines—from Korean BBQ to Mexican street tacos (or maybe I just love to eat!). Now based in sunny Tampa, FL, I embrace an active lifestyle, with golf currently topping my list of hobbies. As a bilingual communicator fluent in Korean and English (with a touch of “K-onglish”), I bring both cultural insight and creativity to my work. I’m a detail-oriented travel planner, coffee enthusiast, and proud puppy parent! Remy, my mini Goldendoodle, may even make a guest appearance during our speech sessions. Grounded in faith, I’m passionate about spreading kindness, fostering connection, and continuously growing both personally and professionally.
