Nikole Boland
Nikole is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) with over six years of experience helping children and teens connect with others effectively. She has worked in both schools and private practice, and for the past three years, she's also provided therapy virtually. Nikole specializes in supporting children ages 3–18 with a wide range of needs, including speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, intellectual disabilities, social communication challenges, and autism. No matter the setting, Nikole's goal is the same: to create a supportive, engaging environment where each child can build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and thrive in everyday life.
My Approach To Speech Therapy
My approach to speech therapy is individualized, strength-based, and collaborative. I believe every child brings unique abilities and learning styles, and I work to build confidence by highlighting successes while targeting areas of growth. Therapy sessions are designed to be engaging, functional, and directly connected to real-life communication needs. I incorporate evidence-based strategies such as modeling, visual supports, and structured practice, while also embedding opportunities for play, conversation, and problem solving. Above all, I value connection over compliance—progress happens best when children feel safe, supported, and motivated, rather than simply directed. Collaboration with families is at the heart of my practice, ensuring strategies carry over into daily routines and interactions. My ultimate goal is to help children become confident communicators who can express themselves effectively, connect with others, and thrive in every aspect of life.
What A Session Looks Like With Nikole
Speech therapy with me is all about connection over compliance. I believe children make the most progress when they feel safe, supported, and genuinely engaged—not just when they’re following directions. Sessions are individualized, fun, and functional. I use evidence-based strategies while weaving in play, conversation, and real-life practice, so therapy feels meaningful and motivating. Families are always part of the process, ensuring skills carry over into everyday life.
Fun Facts About Nikole
I live in Atlanta with my husband and our three amazing kids (one boy and two girls). On Saturdays, you might find us walking the Beltline together. I’m a big college football fan (Go Dawgs!) and love attending sporting events. I’m happiest by the ocean, and I love to travel—the most fascinating place I’ve visited so far is Pompeii! Iced lattes and french fries are my guilty pleasures. What I love most about being a speech-language pathologist is connecting with children and their families and witnessing those incredible “lightbulb moments” when a child makes a breakthrough. It’s truly the most rewarding work, and I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else.
