Natalie Nelson
Natalie Nelson is a licensed speech-language pathologist who has been practicing since 2017. She brings over 8 years of experience supporting children and their families across early intervention (birth to age 3) and childhood through adolescence. In addition to her clinical work, Natalie serves as a supervisor to speech-language pathology assistants, fostering collaboration, mentorship, and strengthening service delivery within team-based care. Natalie is passionate about helping each child reach their full potential and creating a warm, supportive environment where families feel empowered to participate in their child’s growth.
My Approach To Speech Therapy
Natalie has supported a wide range of communication needs, from speech and language impairments to complex communication disorders. She is trained in supporting children with complex communication needs, including those who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)—such as speech-generating devices or communication boards—as their primary method of expression. She also has experience working within specialized classrooms designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), where she nurtures both communication and functional skills, supporting children’s social interactions and learning progress. Natalie is skilled in navigating the evaluation process as well as IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), ISPs (Individualized Services Plans), and IFSPs (Individualized Family Service Plans), helping families feel informed and confident as they move through what can often be an overwhelming system. She is passionate about partnering with families to unlock communication and developmental possibilities that can transform a child’s everyday life.
