Natalie Nelson

Natalie Nelson is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for helping children find their voice, both in and out of the classroom. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology from California State University East Bay and went on to complete her Master's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders at the University of the Pacific. Natalie has been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist since 2017, serving pediatric populations in both early intervention and school-based settings.

My Approach To Speech Therapy

Building on my foundation as a school-based speech-language pathologist within an elementary setting, I’ve expanded my practice to serve clients in a more individualized and private approach. This transition allows me to offer tailored therapy by supporting clients and families with greater flexibility and individualization. I bring a playful, creative approach to therapy, and I value the strong connections I build with families and the wider community. As a parent of two young children, I understand the joys, challenges, and unpredictability that come with raising little ones. My goal is to create a compassionate, flexible, and family-centered approach to therapy—one that meets each child where they are and respects the real-life dynamics of parenting. You're not just bringing your child to therapy; you're inviting someone into your family's journey—and I’m honored to be part of it.

What A Session Looks Like With Natalie

The most important part of any speech therapy session is building genuine rapport and trust. My most successful sessions happen when children are so engaged and having fun, they don’t even realize they’re practicing! I bring creative energy to each session, tailoring my approach to match every child’s unique interests and needs. Using evidence-based practices, I target a wide range of areas including speech and language development, articulation, fluency, social communication, and social-emotional learning. Every session is personalized to focus on specific goals, maximizing our time together while ensuring meaningful progress. Family collaboration is also a key part of the process. I provide ongoing consultation to help support carryover of skills outside of sessions, ensuring consistency and lasting results.
