About

Kendra Browne is a bilingual speech-language pathologist passionate about empowering young children and their families through early communication support. She holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and has been a licensed clinician since 2018. She also holds a Bilingual Certificate, which reflects her specialized training and experience in providing culturally responsive services to multilingual families. As the founder of Blissful Babbles Bilingual Speech Services, Kendra specializes in working with children ages 0–8, with a focus on early language development, bilingual language acquisition, speech sound disorders, and supporting families navigating developmental concerns. Her approach is collaborative, play-based, and family-centered, with an emphasis on coaching parents and caregivers to help their child thrive at home, in school, and in their community. I have provided services in both public and private settings, including daycares, early intervention programs, and family homes. I have also contracted with DC’s Strong Start early intervention program. I offer comprehensive evaluations, parent coaching, and ongoing therapy sessions designed to distinguish language differences from disorders and celebrate each child’s unique strengths. Whether you're looking for support with speech development, bilingual language milestones, or supplemental guidance for IEP goals, I’m here to help guide the way. I’m proud to serve families in English and Spanish, with a deep commitment to inclusion, advocacy, and early developmental success.

My Approach To Speech Therapy

I believe that effective speech therapy begins with connection, trust, and collaboration. My approach is rooted in play-based and relationship-centered practices that honor each child’s unique strengths, culture, and communication style. I take time to get to know each child and their family, creating a warm and supportive environment where progress feels joyful and achievable. Therapy sessions are individualized to meet each child’s developmental needs and family goals. I integrate evidence-based techniques with real-life routines to ensure that the skills we build together carry over into everyday moments—whether at home, school, or in the community. As a bilingual speech-language pathologist, I pay special attention to supporting language development in both English and Spanish while helping families understand the difference between a language delay and a language difference. I also believe in the power of coaching and empowering caregivers. Parents and caregivers are a vital part of the therapy process, and I work closely with families to provide practical strategies, clear guidance, and compassionate support every step of the way. My goal is to help every child find their voice, gain confidence, and connect more meaningfully with the world around them.n What A Session Looks Like With Kendra

Each session is designed to be engaging, individualized, and developmentally appropriate for your child. I use a play-based and child-led approach, which means we follow your child’s interests and motivation to build meaningful communication skills. Whether we’re using toys, books, music, or movement, every activity is intentional and aligned with specific goals we’ve established together. During sessions, you can expect warm greetings and connection to help your child feel safe and comfortable, fun, structured play activities that support speech and language development while keeping your child engaged, intentional teaching moments where I model and encourage new vocabulary, sentence structures, speech sounds, and social communication skills. I incorporate responsive interaction where I follow your child’s lead while gently guiding them toward their goals. Caregiver involvement - I often coach and model strategies during the session so you feel confident using them at home, consistent routines and visuals to support understanding, especially for young learners. After each session, I provide a brief summary and offer suggestions for how you can reinforce skills at home. Progress is a team effort, and I value open communication, collaboration, and celebrating every small win together.
