About

Erin has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for 19 years, specializing in the pediatric population, mostly in the school-based setting. She has experience in a variety of areas, including articulation & phonology, language delays and disorders, multiple disabilities, ADHD, and AAC. Erin has a personal passion for working with neurodivergent individuals, including autistic children and their families. Everyone deserves a voice, and it is always her priority to obtain access to AAC (augmentative & alternative communication) when appropriate, as another tool in an individual’s communication toolbox.

My Approach To Therapy

I believe in child led interests, relationship building and establishing rapport in order to work on difficult and challenging skills, my therapy is as play based as possible!

What A Session Looks Like With Erin

My sessions typically include an intro and warm up to catch up since our previous sessions including any new information to share - school, after school activities, personal interest areas, etc. Therapeutic activities are usually provided in an interactive game format, depending on the needs of the individual. If the child is unable to participate in an interactive activity virtually with me, a coaching model can be utilized with a caregiver, with direct instruction and modeling provided.
