My Approach To Speech Therapy
My approach to therapy has grown over the years and I find that a combination of client lead and clinician directed approach creates a reciprocal relationship and fosters rapport, safety and an environment for growth.
What A Session Looks Like With Ami
A session with me is typically 30 to 45 minutes in length depending on the needs we are addressing and tolerance of the client. Based on the service delivery model (virtual vs. in-person) you will see a variety of treatment materials being used, from games, toys, manipulatives, cards, worksheets, crafts, etc. These materials and the way they are utilized will also vary based on the age, attention level and ability of each person I serve.
Fun Facts About Ami
I enjoy learning about you and how it may help me help you as we work together. I have been on both sides of the table as a parent of a child/student with unique needs and as a clinician who helps to support those in need of those same services. Aside from that, we like doing fun things outside, spending time with our animals and gardening.
