She specializes in supporting neurodivergent clients, including those with autism, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), and speech sound disorders, and she has extensive experience with AAC and early intervention.
Alexandra is passionate about collaboration and strives to build strong partnerships with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and support across all environments.
Originally from Boulder, Alexandra now lives in North Boulder with her husband, their two young daughters, and their energetic dog, Toni. Outside of work, she loves running, hiking, biking, skiing, baking, and curling up with a good book.
My Approach To Therapy
My approach to therapy is child-centered, play-based, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe that children learn best when they feel safe, motivated, and engaged, so I incorporate movement, creativity, and meaningful activities into every session. Whether I’m using games, storytelling, or sensory-rich environments, my goal is to make therapy both fun and functional. I tailor each plan to the child’s individual strengths and challenges, and I work closely with families to ensure that skills practiced in sessions carry over into daily life. I also bring specialized experience in neurodiversity-affirming care, AAC, and motor-based approaches for speech sound disorders, ensuring that each child has access to the tools and strategies they need to thrive.
What A Session Looks Like With Alexandra
A therapy session with me is active, engaging, and tailored to your child’s unique interests and needs. You might find us on the floor building with blocks to practice turn-taking and language, or moving through a sensory obstacle course while working on speech sounds or following directions. I use play as a powerful tool for connection and learning, weaving in targeted goals through fun, motivating activities that feel natural and enjoyable for your child. Sessions are structured but flexible, allowing room for creativity, movement, and moments of joy. I also prioritize collaboration with families, offering strategies, feedback, and support to help you feel confident carrying over skills at home.
