Taryn E. Townsend, SLPD, CCC-SLP, CBIS, is a medically complex speech-language pathologist with over a decade of experience working with children, adults, and families navigating complex neurological journeys. She earned her clinical doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and holds a Brain Injury Specialist Certification (CBIS) through the Brain Injury Association of America. Taryn's work blends advanced clinical expertise with a compassionate, family-centered approach to help children and adults thrive across the continuum of care.

My Approach To Speech Therapy

I plan to create a space where evidence-based care meets genuine connection — supporting children from the PICU to the playground, and every step in between. I specialize in pediatric acquired brain injury (pABI) and neurorehabilitation across the continuum of care — from hospital to home to school. I combine deep clinical expertise with playful, family-centered strategies to help children regain their voices, rebuild their skills, and re-engage in their worlds.
