Bridget Turnbach

Bridget Turnbach is a dedicated speech-language pathologist with over eight years of experience specializing in pediatric communication. Her clinical focus includes child language development, augmentative and alternative communication, articulation disorders, and childhood apraxia of speech. Bridget has completed extensive continuing education in AAC systems, family-centered intervention, child language development, and motor-speech disorders. She believes in a collaborative, family-focused approach—empowering caregivers with the tools, education, and support they need to help their child bloom.

My Approach To Speech Therapy

My therapy sessions are designed to be fun, engaging, and centered around your child’s interests. I use themes and activities they enjoy, celebrating small successes that build confidence and lead to steady progress over time. I also provide simple, practical home practice ideas that fit naturally into your everyday routines. Together, we’ll collaborate to find easy, meaningful ways to support your child’s communication skills throughout daily life.

What A Session Looks Like With Bridget

Each 30-minute session is designed to be focused, engaging, and productive. We’ll begin with a brief check-in to review progress and pick up right where we left off. The heart of the session is spent working toward your child’s goals through fun, play-based activities that keep them motivated and confident. During the final five minutes, we’ll wrap up together. I’ll share what your child accomplished, simple ways to practice at home, and what to expect in the next session so you always feel informed and supported.

Fun Facts About Bridget

Outside of work, I love adventure and community. I spent two years as a travel speech therapist, including an incredible experience practicing in Alaska. I’ve visited all 50 states and originally grew up in the Philadelphia area and the U.S. Virgin Islands, which sparked my love for exploring new places. In my free time, you’ll often find me coaching volleyball or getting involved in local community events.
